Obtaining Visa

All students who are admitted to the KLI can apply for visas C-3 or D-4.
For a D-4 visa, you must submit a certificate of admission, a reference (notarized from the notary office), and evidentiary documents of tuition [procurement/finance] to the Korean Embassy in the country concerned or to the Consulate General. It takes about a month to get it issued, so you have to take time to apply before you leave the country.

Visa Extension

In order to extend the D-4 visa, prepare the following documents and submit them directly to the KLI office.

1. 1) Residence card
2. 2) 50,000 KRW (Commission fee)
3. 3) [Residence lease contract/Residence contract/Housing contract]
   • If you did not sign the contract, you also need to submit the contractor's ID card and confirmation of residence/accommodation document.
4. 4) Certificate of enrollment, transcript, and tuition payment receipt issued by the KLI

• Insurance for international students is essential for a successful study abroad.
• Students can sign up in their own countries or in Korea.
• If you want to sign up for insurance in Korea, you can apply to the KLI and get insurance benefits.
